Go to prison for your next event in Vilnius Lithuania
Our DMC partner in Lithuania is a leading DMC and event production company in Lithuania. They find unique venues for dinners, conferences, team events, product launches and exciting incentive experiences. One such venue is Lukiskes Prison in the capital city of Vilnius. Propeller recently hosted the first ever private event in this “notorious” location: Starting with a tour of the prison by professional guides, the group then participated in small teams with active “prison tasks” throughout the prison buildings. Ended with a prison courtyard festival enjoying street food, DJ playing music, drinks at a mobile bar and prize giving awards to the winning teams.
Lukiškės Prison was built in the early 20th century and still retains it’s dark looks. Since the end of 2019 however, this once-grisly space has been transformed and is ready to host your spectacular events! The building was initially designed as both a jail for pre-trial detention and a prison for punishment. More than 400 prisoners could serve their sentences there, while almost 300 people could be detained at the same time. In 1905 Saint Nicholas Orthodox Church was added to the complex. It looks more like a cathedral than a jailhouse but the barbed wire and conspicuously high walls give it away.
