At African Quest Safaris, we strongly believe ‘one size does not fit all’. In line with this philosophy, our team curates personalised journeys based on profile, season, and budget. The aim is to always deliver a seamless and memorable experience, where our guests live the Real Magic, their way.
Safari is synonym with East Africa. In fact, the word safari is Swahili for ‘travel’, originating from the Arabic word ‘safar’. Every national park and wilderness area we have in Kenya and Tanzania is “as God created it” – original, pristine, leaving every visitor in awe.
Our safaris are authentic, offering game viewing as raw and pure as they can get. Without guarantees, just as nature would deliver it. The infinite wilderness spreading beyond the horizon, the lakes and incredible vistas of the Rift Valley, all this and more bring the Magic to the destinations.
Bucket-list safaris in East Africa are visiting the Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti in Tanzania, and witnessing the Wildebeest and Zebra migration in the Masai Mara in Kenya (late July – early October).
Below is a summary of our most popular shorter safari options. Kenya has 2 key safari hubs which are Nairobi and Mombasa (which is also blessed with great beach resorts). The main safari hub in Tanzania is Arusha.
Most popular day-outing safari
- Ex Nairobi: The Nairobi National Park which offers spectacular sightings from Rhino to Leopard. Only the Elephant is not to be found in this park. We also include visits to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, Elephant Orphanage and the AFEW Giraffe Centre.
- Ex Mombasa: The Tsavo East National Park, Kenya’s largest national park and home to the “Red” Elephants and a plethora of other animals and birds.
- Ex Arusha: The Arusha National Park with the Momella Lakes.
Most popular overnight safari
- Ex Nairobi: Lake Nakuru National Park situated in the Great Rift Valley. One of the renowned alkaline lakes, the park offers a large variety of avi-fauna including the large population of pink flamingos. It is also Kenya’s first Black and White Rhino Sanctuary.
- Ex Mombasa: The Tsavo East National Park or the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary which offers one of the most unique hotels in Africa – the Salt Lick Safari Lodge built on stilts.
- Ex Arusha: The spectacular Tarangire National Park with its unique Baobab Forests and large herds of Elephants.
