Luxor in Egypt ranks in top 3 of most hot air balloon trips worldwide

Set off on a once-in-a lifetime experience and fly over the splendors of Luxor’s ancient historical sites and the Nile River. Watch history come alive before your eyes.

After an early breakfast at dawn, watch the sunrise while hovering over ancient tombs and temples. You will be able to see the Ramesseum Temple and the Valley of the Kings and Queens. You will also glimpse the lives of Egyptian farmers and enjoy magnificent views of the River Nile.

Ahmed Aboud, representative of the Egyptian Federation of Hot Air Ballooning Companies in Luxor, explains that around 11 000 hot air ballooning trips carry 216 000 tourists over Luxor every year. Aboud says that the governorate has now allowed for hot air ballooning trips day and night, whereas before they were only done early in the morning.
