Caribe Hilton Hotel

The iconic Caribe Hilton Hotel re-opened in 2019 after a $150-million-dollar renovation. This property was the first hotel the Hilton chain built outside the USA 70 years ago making it the international hotel brand that it is today.  The hotel’s claim to fame is the creation of the island’s signature cocktail, the Piña Colada, in 1954. It’s the only hotel in San Juan with a private beach, since all beaches in Puerto Rico are public by law.

The massive renovation that took 15 months to complete comes after the damages caused by the hurricanes in September of 2017.  The renovation brought the property to 21^st century standards: the room product is modern and characterized by soft whites, greys and modern furnishings.  The hotel has also opened several new food outlets: Lola’s Puerto Rican Cuisine, Rustica Ristorante, Mojito’s Caribbean Fusion and Ice Cream Cookies & Company. Morton’s Steakhouse and Starbucks have also re-opened in their former locations.

The Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve Puerto Rico Hotel

The Hyatt has expanded its presence in Puerto Rico by opening its first full service resort –   The Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve Puerto Rico Hotel. This 579-room property is located on the north-eastern coast of Puerto Rico, about 40 minutes from the San Juan International Airport. The rooms range from spacious junior suites to villas. Guests will enjoy a variety of dining options, a newly-designed lobby bar, in addition to a beautiful spa, two Tom Kite designed 18-hole golf courses, the International and Championship courses, two swimming pools that includes a lagoon-size pool, with nearby attractions such as the rainforest, horseback riding and ATV adventures.

El San Juan Hotel

The iconic El San Juan Hotel, a mix of tropical island décor and old-world splendor, is located on Isla Verde beach considered the best beach in San Juan. The property, formerly part of Hilton’s Curio Collection, changed its flagship and starting in January, will be the first Fairmont property on the island. Its 388 rooms and suites recently refreshed, were thoughtfully designed by award-winning designer Jeffrey Beers.  The property has a beautiful spa, four swimming pools, multiple bars and restaurants and the island’s top nightclub, Brava.

District San Juan

The District San Juan, a brand-new multi-million-dollar entertainment complex will be inaugurated this spring and will be located at the Convention Center District. This complex will include restaurants, bars, a music hall, venues, and even a zip line! The first Aloft Hotel in the Caribbean will be part of the complex as well.
