Siem Reap is home to the famous World Heritage Site Angkor Wat, the largest religious monument in the world. This vibrant city offers unique experiences and is the perfect getaway destination for team-building activities, social responsibility programs, meetings and incentives.
Must Experience
- Sunrise temple tour with an exclusive tuk-tuk breakfast
Witness the unforgettable sunrise over the less-crowded Hindu-Buddhist temples of Angkor Thom or Bayon. A short walk will take you to a secret location, where you will be served a fresh breakfast from a local tuk-tuk. You will enjoy your breakfast in a calming quiet atmosphere with the birds singing in the trees. The tour can be extended to visit Angkor Wat, the UNESCO World Heritage site.
- Village life experience
Get a taste of rural Cambodian life. Travel into a remote village on an ox cart, visit colorful markets and join farming activities such as rice planting and basket weaving. Share a meal with friendly locals and receive blessings of good luck by monks in a traditional Buddhist ceremony.
- Fun kayak ride in the floating village and through the flooded forest
On your kayak, you will be able to see, up close, this floating village going about its daily business. Your fun team-building experience will continue as you paddle into the flooded forest of Tonle Sap Lake.
- Spectacular show at Phare Ponleu Selpak
We support socially responsible travel by visiting this Battambang community project. Here you can watch the Phare Battambang Circus show or a dance spectacular by young talented Cambodians, with their story reflecting life in Cambodia.
- Road 60 food tasting
Departing on tuk-tuks we drive down what is an empty road during the day, but in the evening becomes a bustling local food market. Here you will be introduced to many different local and street Khmer food and drinks. Tasty fried chicken, roasted belly pork, crispy duck, fried chive cakes and fried grasshopper for the brave! Just make sure you come with an empty stomach!
- Cycling in the countryside
The best time for cycling through the countryside is June to January. Our expert cycling guides will take you to unexpected places around Siem Reap, interacting with locals and even participating in a rice wine workshop.
- World-class golf
Tee off in Siem Reap, home to two award-winning championship courses – the Nick Faldo-designed Angkor Golf Resort and the challenging Phokeethra Country Club – all while staying minutes from the Angkor Wat temples. Cambodia was named the Asia Pacific Golf Destination of the Year at the IAGTO (International Association of Golf Tour Operators) Awards in 2025.
Must Eat
- Korko Soup: A mixed vegetable soup, similar to green curry but with more spices and a specialty of Siem Reap.
- Gilled stuffed frog: Frog stuffed with pork and special spices including lemongrass is a famous Cambodian snack.
Best nightlife: Start your night out at Expérimental Cocktail Bar followed by dinner at the classy Sokkhak River Lounge or the more chilled WILD – Creative Bar & Eatery. Late-night fun for the young at heart is to be found in Pub Street.
Best time to visit: Avoid the hot and dry season of April-May. July -February is the best time to visit Siem Reap. Don’t worry about the rain – you don’t need the sun to visit the temples but you need water to brighten up the life of everything around you.
Top tip: End October to the beginning of November, join the Cambodian Water Festival (Bon Om Touk) where the celebrations take place for 3 days during the full moon. During the day, watch colorful boat races take place along the Tonle Sap River, some with up to 100 paddlers! Watch the lighting of the lanterns to pray to Buddha in the evening and see how to make Om Bo, a traditional rice dish that forms part of the festival. Concerts also take place in different locations around the city. A massive fireworks display is also a highlight.
