The beautiful Kananaskis Mountain Lodge is located only a 1.5 hour ride from the international airport of Calgary in Alberta, Canada. It is a great base for local activities as well as for excursions into the Rocky Mountains with visits to Banff, Lake Louise and the Icefield Parkway. The Kananskis Valley is full of incredible nature and adventure – add luxurious accommodations, and you’ve got the perfect destination for a getaway in the mountains!

The Kananaskis Mountain Lodge was recently beautifully remodeled, and we are loving the new look and additions. The style throughout the hotel is very sleek and welcoming. There are fabulous restaurants at the lodge with fine cuisine, ranging from casual pub fare, to fine dining. Private dining is available on-site as well. The meeting and event spaces are bright and open, in various sizes.

The lodge’s 50,000 sq. ft indoor/outdoor Nordic Spa was inspired by Scandinavian Hydrotherapy as well as the surrounding backdrop of the Kananaskis Backcountry. Guests can enjoy the multiple pools, saunas, spa treatments, and communal socialization areas, for the ultimate relaxation and rejuvenation.

There are plentiful seasonal Canadian activities to take advantage of surrounding the lodge. Some of the summer activities include; hiking, paddle boarding, golfing, rafting, fishing, helicopter tours, and horseback riding. In the winter months, you can enjoy skiing, dog sledding, snow shoeing, helicopter tours, and truly so much more!
