Just last year, Florida signed up to be included in the Michelin Guide and voila, instantly received 19 Michelin Star restaurants and several Bib Gourmands recommendations. Now, it’s hard to get a table anywhere, but this is where a good DMC comes in. We know where you can get top notch food before it becomes famous! Cocoon Incentive’s tip is to try the subtropical cuisine in the Redlands, where anything grows from mangos to coconuts! Being surrounded by water, Florida offers some of the best fresh seafood – in fact, we encourage a “Dock-to-Dish” experience where our guests catch their fish and we then share it family-style! Try something unique to Florida such as Conch Chowder, Stone-Crab or Key Lime Pie and let us take you to our lively craft communities for local drinks.

CSR Activity: Making Coral Babies in the Florida Keys

Florida is surrounded by water, but few know that we have the equivalent of an underwater rain forest – our coral reefs! In fact, over 50% of the oxygen we breathe comes from plants in the ocean. Corals not only make beautiful snorkeling sites, but they work as a natural powerplant (literally!) churning carbon dioxide into oxygen.

Cocoon Incentives has curated a unique CSR event, where guests learn about the complexity of the reef and how we can help restore this natural wonder, by partnering with marine scientists from MOTE Laboratories. Using a unique technique called micro-fragmentation, our attendees make coral babies – rest assured they will have a great story to tell from their meeting in Florida!
