Quito, the capital city of Ecuador, has become an even bigger player for association conferences and corporate meetings in Latin America. An exciting new MICE venue – the Metropolitan Convention Center of Quito (CCMQ in Spanish) opened in 2019. Ecuador’s capital was awarded South America’s Leading Meetings & Conference Destination at the World Travel Awards for 2017 and this project is a big step in expanding the business travel facilities of the city.

The new convention center measures 16.440 m² divided over two floors. In this modern building, visitors will find two spacious lobbies, two exhibition halls, a multi-functional auditorium for up to 500 people, and multiple meeting rooms. The CCMQ is part of a larger urban project that also includes the construction of hotels, restaurants, and a concert hall in the same area.
