“Surrounded by flowers” tour – Medellín
“Surrounded by flowers” is a tour designed for nature lovers and photographers. The farm where the tour takes place is located in the municipality of La Ceja, just over an hour from Medellín. Participants can enjoy one of the best private orchid collections in the country (more than 10,000 plants and a diversity of 5,000 species and hybrids), learn about the cultivation of hydrangeas and appreciate the great Colombian biodiversity (orchids, mosses, bromeliads, birds, butterflies), including about 15 species of hummingbirds that reach the drinking fountains.

Lubigara Tour – Santander

A truly authentic activity for those wanting experiences not typically offered in local tour packages. Initially you walk for about 20 minutes from Barichara (Santander) to the house of Mrs. Veronica, where a workshop making corn arepas is held. The process begins by grinding the corn grains, continues with the preparation of the dough and ends in the cooking of the arepas on a wood stove. Then you visit the house of Bernadette, a craftswoman who makes trays and clay pots. Our guests love this tour as they get to know the way people live in the countryside and interact with them personally. The tour ends with a cup of famous Colombian coffee at a local store on the sidewalk, where guests mingle with the locals to play “Creole bolus”.

The Ermita Hotel is the first Marriott Hotel to open its doors in Cartagena.
