Separated by only 2 miles of water, they are quite different from each other. St. Kitts is busier with lots of activity, while Nevis is smaller, quieter and more upmarket. Their proximity to each other is a plus for travelers seeking variety, and an opportunity to island hop in the Caribbean. It takes just six minutes to go from one island to the other. Visitors on one island can enjoy the activities on both islands by simply taking a water taxi. There are many hotels that cater to incentive groups.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Must-do Experiences<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Day Trips &#8211; St. Kitts or Nevis in One Day<\/strong>. This is a chance to island hop in the Caribbean and spend the day exploring and enjoying the other island. This is a guided tour, with stops to visit historic sites. The trip is about 5 hours and includes lunch.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Alexander Hamilton Island Tour<\/strong> is a unique tour inspired by the fact that Alexander Hamilton was born on Nevis, and is the character in the hit musical, Hamilton. This tour begins in Charlestown and visits the birthplace of Alexander Hamilton &#8211; the Alexander Hamilton Museum. You will find yourself in the middle of a compelling human-interest story. The tour circumnavigates Nevis by van. It includes some short walks and historical fiction. Visitors have found it fun, emotional and interesting.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The Village Food Tour <\/strong>is a guided tour through one of the last remaining traditional villages. It involves a quarter-mile walk with a village resident who is also a horticulturist. He talks about village life, the plants, and their traditional uses and you\u2019ll also share samples of authentic local cuisine.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Cooking with Ras Iroy<\/strong>. This is one of our immersive food tours. Guests visit a Rastafarian farm where they harvest their own ingredients and then cook a vegan meal on an open fire in traditional Nevisian clay pots. The cooking is done under the guidance of a true Rastafarian chef and farmer. Each couple has their own pot and fire and you\u2019ll dine on the food you cook.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Catamaran Sunset Sail<\/strong>. Set sail for a leisurely and picturesque shoreline cruise with our seasoned captain and crew on board a comfortable and spacious Catamaran. This 2-hour cruise goes along the coastline of Nevis and the western side of St. Kitts.
